order semi truck mudflaps and cut to fit. its what we do for the rally cars, pretty durable and cheap to replace if they get torn off.

That's what I did because I wanted large mud flaps on my truck when I was towing my fiberglass camper to keep rocks from slinging up and damaging the gelcoat. I bought mine from Napa and cut them to fit.

I will use the OEM flaps to trace and cut. I still have the stock hardware. Shouldn't look too bad. Besides, every day that goes by I am farther from the honeymoon period so I'm not so picky as I used to be. Actually, the way my schedule has been lately, you all are washing your trucks more than me. I think the last time I washed mine was back in April or May ???? I honestly would wheel it, as far as it could take me, but again, my fucking schedule is just too insane. Winter allows more free time since I don't have yard chores to do as much.

But I do have a couple rock chips now so something needs to change.

Same. Just installed the winch on the bumper. Need some help from a couple guys at work, so the bumper will be installed tomorrow. This bitch is heavy.

So looking at your pic, it appears the winch sits up (high) a little bit in there. Would it block mounting a light bar where those cut out openings are? Also, would a 32" light bar fit there?

I really like the design of this bumper and know when the time comes this is what I will likely go with. It looks so serious!
    TIA!

Thanks man. It was a pain in the ass. I painted it and had to sand it down and repaint it in places.

So the light bar will sit in front of that top part of the winch. There is about 5 inches behind the steel to that part of the winch, so plenty of room for a light bar. It takes a 30" light bar, and will not fit any bigger, which is why I'm not putting mine in.

As far as the make, cbi makes a very stout and well built bumper. I dont know how the ones for the tacos look, but they make one of the best looking 4runner bumpers in the market currently.

I also really like mobtowns 3rd gen taco bumpers, but they dont have any 5th gen 4runner bumpers yet, and I was ready to pull the trigger.
