A few mods to the new truck

What do you guys think of the new leveling kit and wheels??

Those look nice.

But since they are more 'rugged' looking, they make the light duty steps and bug deflector look out of place.

I got the 18" Fuel Podium D619 Anthracite Wheels and the Falken Wildpeak AT3W 275/65/R18 116T

I ended up taking the front mud flaps off because it was rubbing quite a bit but as soon as I popped those off there's been no rubbing at all and I actually like the look without them better.

The Leveling Kit is the MotoFab 3" front and 2" back, If money wasn't in question I would have gone with the Bilstien 5100's but I was able to get the Motofab for $100 off ebay and install it myself so it saved me quite a bit of money so I think it was worth it but eventually I'll probably upgrade to the 5100's.

 

Haha already popped the dealer tag off right after I took the pictures, also is there a way to cover the holes from where the front dealer tag was drilled in, it doesn't bother me too much but it would be nice to cover the little holes up. Just got the truck a couple weeks ago so it didn't bother me too bad until I started doing stuff to the truck. Still waiting on getting my plates and I got the smoked out covers so I think it will look good. The light duty steps came with the truck and I don't mind those but do you feel like I could get some more heavy duty steps that would look better? I like the look of steps on the tacomas I just don't know what would look better. I'm brand new to the tacoma world so I don't know too much about that stuff yet. I actually really like the bug deflectors but I know some people aren't a fan of them so I guess that's just a personal opinion thing. I appreciate the opinions though for sure!

Also will be getting the front window tint matched with the back pretty soon as well so I think it will make it look just that much better.

For only having the truck for about 2 weeks I'm really happy with how it's turning out.

 

Also I was wondering what you guys think of the metal off road bumpers. I really like the look of them but they're pricey and can't decide if it's worth it or not. Any opionions on good and decent priced metal off road bumpers or do you think there's other stuff I should do to it before going to that point? I have the weather tech floor mats already and will eventually get seat covers to keep the seats in good condition I just have the mod bug right now and trying to decide what to do next. Haha

 

So spacers and block? How's the ride?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm getting the itch to do something with my truck and can't decide what path I want to take.

 

Yeah it is the Spacer and blocks. It only took me about 2 hours to get it all on with my brother in law helping me out but if you have a lot of experience working on cars I'm sure you could done even a little faster than that. It rides a little more rough than the stock suspension but nothing enough that bothers me. The more rough terrain tires have made it ride more rough than the leveling kit but it really isn't anything that bothers me to the point that I regret it at all.

And you can ask as many questions as you want, and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Like I've said this is my first tacoma and first car I have done mods on so I'm still a beginner in it all myself but I'm really happy with it for going the cheaper route but if money isn't a issue for you I'd go with the bilstien 5100's for sure just from all the reviews I've read they seem to be by far the best for a suspension leveling kit.

There's plenty to do before justifying spending $1300+ on a bumper because it looks cool, esp if you don't plan on doing any significant off roading lol

 

You can buy trim plugs at any auto parts store to plug the LP holes. Some people paint them to match but since they come in black they would prob look fine as is.
