What an adventure when going to but a used mtn bike. Contacted guy today to confirm meet and he asked for more money. I said maybe but needed to see the bike in person before committing. Anyways, he is way out there off 60/Crimson and I get there and the bike looks nothing like the picture. He wrapped it with a carbon wrap and I started wondering why. I told him I would give him $500 and nothing more since I know there is at least $500 worth of parts. With it being wrapped I cannot see if there are any cracks or screw ups that might hurt the integrerity of the frame. He finally relents and I get this bike home. Going out to garage to start getting the wrap off and hoping for the best.

I pretty much have the bike apart and now I am even more confused. It is just a black frame similar to a Trek Fuel. I cannot find a SN any where and a few places the welds look suspect. Noticed that I have different disks from front/rear, different size tires(that I knew). Think I am going to take it took a rebutable shop and see what they say.
Holey shit is it humid in my garage! I am dripping! Was planning on installing my new front bump stops this evening, thinking that may need to wait!

In my experience the leaks have been at either corner of the driveway and not that hard to fix. turn them on and see where the wet spot starts to show at, than dig down about 6in or so oil you find line and locate the leak. they make a union where you can cut the line and put the coupler in. i can help you if needed @LTacoman

He stated it was a Trek Fuel EX, different color and different parts on it when I got there. The wheels are decent, some DT swiss, headset and cranks are decent.
Really hope it is not stolen!

Yes I do, only out $500 but getting more pissed off the more I look at this thing. He will not return my messages now!
Some parts are still usable and they might add up to $500 so might not be a total loss.

yes you should be fine if thats where they leaked from, considering the nailing fin the goes around the window IMO that would be difficult, unless they're upgraded and been replaced since the house was new than it would be possible. but yes you can just caulk there, make sure to use an outdoor caulk, something like Quad.

Mine was a 2” conduit in the concrete with the drip line run inside it. I dug and found it on one side , and when I turned the water on, I couldn’t see the actual leak, but water was coming out the conduit. Drip system is from 92 and was the cheap stuff. I fix one leak, two more pop up.
