I used to commute 4.6 miles (10 minutes), but prefer living up in the mountains, so I have a longer commute.

As you know, my current daily driver is a 07 Prius and I love it for commuting only. Otherwise I hate that piece of you know what. I think what most of the people forget about commuter car is its fun factor. Prius is not fun to drive at all, but it is good on gas mileage. I have had bad luck with hybrids lately. Out of 4 hybrid cars that we own, at least 2 had to get batteries replaced. Luckily my Prius was covered under warranty, otherwise it was about 5K bill. For my wife's GS450h we ended up paying around 3K for used batteries. Both cars were under 100K miles. If you ever buy hybrid or EV make sure to get a new one and sell before the battery warranty expires. In my opinion EV are good for people who have limited commute and know exactly how many miles they be driving. For people like me who's commute is not same everyday, EV is not a very good option. Couple of my friends had to get their Leaf's towed because range indicator showed higher millage left than actually distance it was able to go. If you use AC/heater or other electronics, range comes down drastically.

I drive a 2015 v6 awd jeep Cherokee trailhawk everyday. Gets about 20mpg in traffic. I might need to get something more efficient. I drive 70 stop and go miles a day.

I'll call you all and raise you .4 miles to my office from my house.

22 minutes from the time I wake up to sitting down at my desk with a shit, shower and shave.

PS: Still drive, because lazy AF.
