Only so many ways to make a roof rack at the end of the day. If it were a basket type, you’d say it’s copying front runner.
Although it’s very similar to Prinsu, I can spot some differences. Competition is good, but IMO at least lower the price point lower than the competition.

Mmmm, I don’t know, between Prinsu, Frontrunner, the new ARB one, Baja-racks, and Gobi it seems like there are a lot of different ways to make a roof rack.

When one comes out that is a copy of an existing and developed here by a member product and is introduced as a new product I’m going to say bs.

I mean, last time was that CORE guy and how well did that turn out?

I’d be happy if someone with some real design skills made one that didn’t look like an engineering co-op student was playing around with Meccano and a box of machine screws. Both this one and the Prinsu look pretty cro-magnon to my eyes, but doubt I could do much better on my own.

I hope more offerings come out that are not Prinsu rip-offs like this clearly is. We need real options that are truly better or different.

I agree. I hate the look of all the hardware... reminds me of an ikea part. I get it though...easier to manufacture, ship, etc. Also let’s the user configure. But I’m all about welded. Clean and strong.

They should give these things one of those goofy IKEA names......like Svendelcabraken or Rackjlapfensen some other Swedish-sounding nonsense words.

    It's getting there.
AC Prinsu has more mounting points. I guess that means more holes to drill in your roof though. Good thing I already have.

Looks like a Prinsu bust costs more and has less modular options.

lower price point??? It looks more expensive to me... I agree with your statement about competition, but coming into the market above your competition's price point is never a good idea.

I know RPMFAB does well in the Jeep world, but damn.

more expensive, less well-known, upcharge for black hardware.... but other than that it's not terrible looking, I'd be more interested at like $450
