Yea, you have a point on that one. LOL I've done plenty of audio/video/lighting (in and out of vehicles). 100 pair cables can get overwhelming...

    Nope, alien green :alien:

8 years old and still does what I need it to do. Don't game anymore so no worries there but it is a power hog and I'm sure Tyler would protest for that.

Oh well. It's dead in the water until I eBay a new CPU cooler.

The warranty on the install might make it worth it. Otherwise there is no way I'd let someone else do it. I'm a bit picky on how things a done on my truck and no installer is going to care as much as I do...

I’d have a shop do it. It’s far too difficult to source the wiring schematics from the MFG of these alarm systems. I have a nice Viper system myself and I’m having trouble finding the schematics for it since I’m not an authorized dealer. You also void your warranty when you install it yourself.

When my truck was in the shop for the imploded flexplate, we rented a Chevy Equinox. Man those are some big ass vehicles with terrible visibility. I felt like I was on top of the world in the truck, you could see everything.

It was fast and it had a good infotainment system, which was nice.

All major name brand alarm and remote start systems will withhold that kind of documentation from the consumer. Viper, Clifford, etc.

It’s a liability for the manufacturer, so having an authorized dealer install it is imperative. I don’t have this option since I installed my own custom power door system.

I don’t know about the lower end systems that are only a keyless entry and alarm system, but I know for sure my remote start system requires an authorized dealer to install it.

Our Merc E320 has the window switches on the center control stack in between the transmission shifter.

Yea, the MFGs for alarms don't like everyone knowing how they work. It makes it easier for someone to defeat if they know how it's installed.

Anyone have some good ideas on what to set the configurable Aux features to run? The system I have has 4. I'm thinking one should be for rolling down windows... I don't have a winch yet but I know a guy that has his set to operate his winch and light pods.

Oh! I bought a power windo automation system for my Aux feature. I can open
and close both windows from a mile away.
