You know, after the member above complained about my post I was about to just delete the whole thing but figured it's gotta be useful to others.

When I get a chance I'll edit it to make easier to read.

wow...complained. I misread something and took it as oem parts only, pointed out that those weren't oem and thats a complaint.

The way things are these days this doesn't surprise me.

Look bro, I don't want to keep cluttering up Jon's thread with uselss jabber. Yeah I took it as a complaint. Rather than receive some gratitude for that list of P/Ns I've compiled for my own use, I get a comment pointing out that I listed non oem Toyota P/Ns which I found unnecessary (BTW, there's more in my list that you missed ;)). Thread title doesn't state specifically OEM P/Ns either.

If it's good quality or even better than OEM part. What does it matter? But I understand there are those "OEM only" type of people.

As you said. The way things are these days..... people are so unappreciative, I should just keep quiet next time.

Ok, but fair enough if you thought otherwise. We'll just call it a misunderstanding on both our ends.

Lets see, for my 2004 2.7 Extended cab 4x4 I have purchased all of the following from the Rice Toyota (Greensboro, NC) parts counter:

    Oil Filter: 90915-YZZD1 $7.46
Leaf spring main eye bolt: 90105-14025. $5.99
Leaf spring main eye bolt nut: 90179-14039. $2.99
Leaf Spring main eye bolt washer: 90201-14005 . $2.99
Front lower shock bolt: 90080-10124. $5.99
Front lower shock bolt washer: 94622-41400. $2.99
Front lower shock bolt nut: 90170-14026. $1.99

I got all the Diffs drain & fill gaskets off Amazon. The manual Tranny uses the same ones as the rear diff, if I'm not mistaken. So 12157-10010

Thanks @Sperrunner. There's some items on my list that may not make sense so I'll add details for those later.

    Golly, thanks …

Back story. I don't have a Tacoma, but I do have a 3RZ in the garage for a Gen1 4Runner transplant. I've been working on rebuilding the engine as time and money allow. Engine had 250K on it, and I wasn't going through the effort of installing a high mile engine, only to remove it later for rebuild. Gonna do it now. So, here is my contribution for my "little brothers" out there. These parts are for a Ver2 engine with two coil packs. Note my prices include any shipping or tax I paid.

    OEM Toyota
    Alternator brush holder - 27370-75060, $17.51 (for 80A alternator, not for 70A**)
Exhaust manifold, 17141-75080 with EGR to replace your cracked manifold, $287.70 list, $211~ish discount.
    Filter, oil – 90915-YZZG2, $4.36
Filter, oil – 90915-YZZD3, $4.36 (Larger Land Cruiser filter that appears to fit)
    Gasket, thermostat guide - 16119-75020, $1.97
Gasket Kit, Engine Overhaul, 04111-75102, $181.37
    Gasket, oil cap – 90430-37140, $1.95
    Gasket, oil pan drain – 90430-12031, $0.91
    Head bolts (x10) - 90910-02187, $36.20
    Hose, air, TB – 17882-75040, $21.94
    O-ring, fuel pressure regulator - 90301-07001, $1.72
    O-ring, bracket sub-assy, oil filter – 96721-24018, $4.75
    Plate, cylinder head, rear – 11181-75021, $8.62
    Plate (Decal), engine "16 valve" – 11929-74130, $2.85
    PCV – 12204-75010, $5.53
    Sensor, water temperature EFI – 89422-35010, $58.75
    Spacer, fuel injector - 90561-10018, $8.72
    Spark plug wire clamp, x2, 90469-05006, $1.53
    Spark plug wire clamp, x3, 90469-05007, $3.24
    Spark plug wire clamp, x4, 90469-05008, $1.56

** The alternator brushes for the 70A alternator are the same part used on my 1985 4Runner alternator, 27370-35060 ($22.70 list).

Toyota OEM Timing Parts, both camshafts and balance shafts.

As these trucks get older I’ve noticed parts I need that Toyota DOES NOT make any more.
So may as well add them here, Toyota does not make the driveshaft or differential bracket bushings any more, out of stock.
Maybe ther should be a separate thread for where to find parts that are discontinued or no longer available from Toyota

What is the difference between oem and oem trd thermostats? If I have a trd is that the one I should buy? Also I am trying to buy a new radiator cap and they are all sub assemblies. Thanks!

The TRD thermostat is no longer made & they were stupid crazy expensive. They were made to be used with the TRD supercharger. If your naturally aspirated it's too cold to run. Just run the stock 180°. I live in desert climate, I run the 170°. The p/n I have listed for the 170 is an oem Toyota tstat but it's not from a Tacoma.
