Grinding sounds like a wheel bearing? I personally don't know of any mechanics - I tend to do my own work but if you have a jack I would take a look at it real quick to see if it's safe to even drive on. That or take it to a reputable (Yelp helps) local mom/pop shop since tacoma's really aren't that hard to work on.

Yeah I usually do to, but now I won’t have a garage until we buy a house; hopefully not too long from now.

As for the bearings... I put new Toyota bearing in just in April, then right one hour into the trip the bearings crapped out and I got them replaced in Phoenix. I can’t imagine it being the culprit again, but knowing my luck maybe!

Tacoma’s aren’t hard to work on, but my experience is that ships that don’t specialize in Toyotas love to mis diagnose lots of expensive parts, maybe because they aren’t familiar with common issues. For expamle the shop that replaced my bearings on the road wanted to replace both sets of ucas and lcas too, which is nuts!

315's are on. They just stick out but fill the wheel openings better but still have room to flex. Wish Jeep did this from factory instead of 285's. I went with the C rating cause one of the techs had the E on his Jeep and we went for a ride. It is a harder ride, not obnoxious, but he also said it shudders across multiple bumps on the rode. Time will tell if it was a mistake.

Wish I could help but I am not really “from” the Worcester area. 3 years ago we bought my wife’s childhood home when her mom moved to the lake in Hopkinton. I used to do most of my own work on my jeep tjs. for the last 5-6 years I’ve had warranties and used dealerships. I’ll ask a kid at work who lives up by Worcester Airport but unchained seems to have a guy.

Are you in Worcester or close by? I'm in the town over

I don't really have much to offer for a mechanic though; haven't looked too hard at options. May keep @Unchained 5150's guy for future reference though.

I agree with wheel bearings...you can jack it up and spin the tire and hear the grind...but if you say it was replaced then maybe it's something else...I just bought a new set and today's rain put a DAMPER ;) on the install as I don't have a garage. So that led to me going out to lunch with the wife and kid and we remembered it was tax free day so we basically impulse bought a pellet stove to replace our 23 year old, came with the house, how many times can I repair this or that and now my wife thinks it's a death trap...wood stove...Looking at a Ravelli RV100 Classic in black http://usa.ravelligroup.it/prod/38-rv100_classic.php
