Looks like a good way to smuggle stuff. Hi-cap magazines into California, 3.2+ beer into Utah, cuban cigars from Canada...

 

Well, there aren't any border guards between States, and if someone is trying to get some contraband into the U.S from Canada or Mexico you'd better believe that U.S. Customs knows to look for something like this. I wouldn't be surprised if the smuggler got laughed at for being such an amateur.
