Glad I’m not the only one. I haven’t spoken to my sister in over 20years. A this point words would be never be enough & some things just can’t be undone.

Did a little work on the truck today, please tell me if y'all can see the pics!

Changed the oil in the rear diff at 33.1k

15/16s socket and had to use an adapter because I don't have a .5" ratchet (could have used one with a longer handle too, I need to upgrade tools)

    Remove fill plug

Pulled drain plug and let it drain until no drips would come out (about 20 minutes)

Meanwhile I cleaned the drain plug. The fluid didn't look dirty at all but the plug was collecting some crud.

Put the drain plug back in and started to fill with 2.5 qts of the favorite.

Put the fill plug in and gave everything I touched a quick wipe.
Took her for an easy ride around the block. Came home and everythings bone dry and the truck feels good.

    :)

Fuck. Been wrestling with the washing machine the past two days. At first the tub bearing and mode selector (transmission on GE washers) needed to be replaced. Everything was going well until I tried to take the large nut that holds the tub to the mode selector. That thing's been in there for 7 years and did not want to come out. Even chased down the special tool it takes to get it out. No dice. Finally ended up using a dremel and a drill to turn it into pieces. Five hours later it was out.

Replace everything and tried it this morning. Leakage. Tore everything down again. Apparently the original tub had gotten a bit wobbled out over time and the new tub seal was loose around the edges. Found a new tub in town. Now the seal is too tight. Had to pound it in with a plumbing union that was the right size. That took two hours. Put everything back together, and no leaks - until the second time I ran it. Pull it apart and drum seal's popped out. Got it back in and am going to wait overnight to see if it seats better.

TL;DR Washing machine repair going poorly. I need a drink.

Lesson here: never mess with something that has bigger nuts than you.

Great Roofing Weather, LoL. Only consolation was the Utube guy was from Texas. I don’t know how y’all do it. I’m definitely NOT a roofer but almost got ‘er done. Just cap shingles to go tomorrow but it’s gonna be early.
