    My truck was new once too. I get your concerns. The fact of the matter is you have an oil filter doing exactly what it's desgned to do. Just like mine. It's just easier to see with the type of filter the taco uses.
    It'll be ok.

    Thanks for that. The original thought was patriculate after original machining of engine. It has continued so I’m paying attention.

    Of course there is a chance your engine had excessive shavings, however, after engine assembly, each engine is run, tested, flushed and refilled before ever being installed in the truck. You need to take samples and send to Blackstone Labs every oil change. That way you have 3rd party documentation in case things go south.

    That’s my thought. Early on it would be likely that even blackstone would chalk it up to break in, but after an oil change or three, it could be helpful in case there is truly something amiss.
