Yeah mu house 2 bed 1.5 bath decent size lot for the bay. Goes for like 1mil

 

So much easier to heat and cool lol

 

I plan to build a shop building and I'll probably have a prefab house dropped on the land because I don't care about that as much either. I just want to be where I'm happy, can build and tinker on shit and store my vehicles.

 

We're old enough to appreciate that

 

Lol yup, my house is a big rectangle and we just did the asian paper looking walls lol except for the laundry/bathroom other than that we have 8 beams that are literally custom length railroad beams. The wooden part and I just put some fancy bamboo flooring pieces on them. We had a contractor come in for insulation and siding recently and he said whatever I was thinking I over did it by alot lol. The house is built cheapish I just used lumber for the roof wall studs but those are overkill cause it was cheaper and way stronger lol.

 

I helped my dad add on to our house when I was a kid, we milled the ceiling beams out of the trees we cut down to make room for it

Do you actually make enough to where you don't just get it all back as a return?

 

There is a 700 sq ft 2 bed 1 bath down the street going for 600k on my street here in the bay area

 

What?? You can’t even buy a soggy cardboard box in the Tenderloin for $60k. My neighbor has a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 3,500 square foot house and it sold for $1.3 Million last month.

 

I just had a brain himorage from that thought

 

I’m on the payroll of a catering company, it’s seasonal work but I do have to file taxes during tax season. I get the W2 at the end of the fiscal year.

It’s only a few days out of the year, but it pays very well.
