Is it just me or should the 1st goal in OT have been a goal? I didn't hear a whistle until after Carter poked it out from under Niemi into the goal, making it a goal. Obviously it didn't cross the goal line when it bounced off the bar, but again, I didn't hear a whistle. The horn doesn't stop play as was the case in the 1st non goal, which ended up being a goal. Can anyone explain.

The ruling is actually when the referee intended to blow the whistle , not necesarrily when you hear it . No joke .

The ref probably blew the play dead when it looked like Niemi had frozen the puck after it slid along the goal line , but you couldn't hear it because of the horn , crowd etc . The refs didn't signal a goal or no goal which tends to lean towards him losing site of the puck as he thought the goalie had covered it .

Fake Pierre is more entertaining and informative than the real one. I like when the crowd noise drowns him out when he's between the benches.

Leighton looked good tonight. Finally started controling the rebounds and didn't look nervous like he did in the first 3 games, IMO. We might have a chance at this series after all. I still think the first two games should have been ours.

I have no doubt the flyers will take game 6. I worry about 7 though.

The bounces favoured the Hawks tonight , both teams are so evenly matched it really is hard to call . There was some talk on Hockey Night in :canada:about whether Hartnell's elbowing penalty would be reviewed for supplemental discipline .

Once again I wonder who will start in goal for Philly , Leighton has been airtight at home , Boucher didn't exactly stand on his head after coming in tonight .

Yea, I was wondering the same thing. When I saw that elbow I was pretty pissed at hartnell. That was just a dumb, and dangerous play.

Last nights was a pretty awesome game tho, thats how 2 teams playing for a championship should play each other. Edge of my seat the whole game
