My mom navigated the snow in buffalo ny with a 4x4 Geo Tracker for years. And she took us to fishing spots and everything in that mini beast lol

I had a Tracker back in the late 1990's, that thing was a little beast!

Sure, the Sport would handle just about everything you would do with it, however, always in the back of your mind you will keep thinking about the OR.
When I was looking at new motorcycles I was tempted with a great deal. I knew what I wanted, the color and all, but the dealer had a leftover from the previous year that was nice and they were taking a large amount off the MSRP, making it 3500 less than what I had my mind set on. I went home and thought about and discussed it with my wife. Of course the money savings would be nice, but her logic was very simple. She said if you buy the cheaper one but its not exactly what you want, you will not be happy with it and within a year you will be wanting to get rid of it and will end up getting the one you really want. She said spend the extra now, get what you want, life is too short to make yourself unhappy.

Thanks guys, my mind is made and I've actually located a 18 Cement OR DCSB! Now, I just need to drive through New York Shitty to get there. :)

In the context of not regretting my decision...

If I had known there would be so many OR owners in a thread question posed to Sport owners I might have chosen my words more carefully so as not to offend. :D

When i was was first looking the off road is what i was first set on. But the dealership i went to had the DCLB in Magnetic Gray in both the off road and sport. I test drove both and in the end the sport was a better fit for me. The sport had a better feel on the road so that helped my decision. I do very little offroad.

I only need 4wd for the snow, and between time don't do off road driving. So why have all that extra gizmo stuff, crawl, locker etc. which I will never use, will cost more to buy and repair. Get what you need and not to impress.
Now if you need it and use it it's a different story.

If you are going to be lifting then you are changing the suspension anyway to the same as most do with the offroad. You get 4x4 with an LSD. If you really really want a locker then you can add one. But they really are not needed for most types of offroading. The sport is just as good as the offroad in my eyes.
