What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Plasti-dipped the emblems.

Anyone have any good suggestions on adhesive or does everyone else just mask off their truck?

Yes it’s free if you have 80,000 or less miles on your truck. Had the 0062-18 done last week. Been driving around a bit including going to big bear and SD. A significant improvement in the smoothness of shifts during city driving, and no lurching when kicking down to a lower gear. Hope it lasts.

 

The ECU is a free Flash that is covered by Toyota if it applies to your truck. It lists the VIN#s, but most of the time if you mention you are experiencing the same things that are included in the T-SB, they will do it. Especially if you can duplicate that problem or they feel it themselves when they test drive it. All T-SB’s are covered by Toyota though

 

Capped it with a LEER 180. I can fit my road bike into it without taking off my front wheel.

I rattle canned my stock Sport Wheels, went with satin black. They have the 10’ finish, they look good enough up close.

Which bumper you rocking?

 

3M Exterior Foam Double Sided Tape would work fine. I can tell you from experience that trimming the tape to the configuration of your emblems is both tedious and time consuming if you want an acceptable result. I would recommend a different avenue. If you try doing just one emblem you'll quickly see what I'm talking about.

The 3M Red Tape Is available in both interior AND exterior. Make sure you choose the exterior if you go the tape route.
After fussing with a SS Ducks Unlimited emblem I decided it was easier and much less time consuming to replace it. Tape applied to new emblems are die-cut for a reason.

Do those fender flares go over the stock or do I need to remove the stock ?

 

They are stock Off-Road flares.

I guess that why y’all dip them while still attached.....

i got my rci sliders in on friday and started the prep/paint process.
mounted them on my truck yesterday, still havent gotten pics yet. These slides are very well built, took me about 1.5 hours to install them by myself with the help of a harbor freight transmission jack
Oversprayed the crap out of my garage, last pic shows it pretty good in the background...cleanup wasnt too bad thanks to the epoxy floor
