Went over into Williamson WV after work today to Dad's restaurant and had to park next to his Ford to show some dominance haha. First official family dinner at our new barbeque joint, good times were had:thumbsup:

Yea I'm sure the price is justified, its just a lot of money. Definitely do-able with some planning and saving... just a lot. lol

Are there other options, like the TacomaBeast ones, that aren't retrofit? I don't care for the style of the TacomaBeast ones too much (I'm sure I'm in the minority on that), but $200-300 is a lot easier to justify.

Got the dealer to replace my leaf springs under the recall even though the broken spring in the pack was an add a leaf. And my steps came in. Next will be adding a few leaves out of the TRD OR leaf packs I have and getting it level again.

Cheap seat spacer mod! Cost me $6 in total from Home Depot. I’m 5’8” and the one inch level in the back makes the seat so much more comfortable.

No by having it side ways in the bed. The fork will take all the wind shear and either blow out the left fork seal or bend the fork. You should put your mount on top of the tool box or get a tailgate pad.

Installed these lower control arm skids today from BAMF off-road. Bought them off of @303tacoma. Should have been a ten-minute job.

    20180812_120452.jpg

Part of the process is to drill out holes on the lower control arms to fit bolts through. 1/2". Among the 50+ drill bits that I had, take a wild guess on which I didn't have.

Ran to Home Depot. One aisle closed in the whole store. One. The drill bit aisle. The guy on the forklift ignored all of us standing there.

So I walked around. Downstairs toilet needed a new part for the handle to function so I went to look. There was one left. Well, one package left...someone had ripped open the package and taken the part. So I bought the whole assembly, which I didn't need.

So went back to the aisle. Still closed. Checked on a light fixture that roommate wanted to go over the kitchen island to replace the current one. It would be nice not to smash my face every time that I go to cut vegetables. This store didn't have it. Later found that it was the only one in the city that didn't.

After about 30 minutes the aisle opened up. All of the singular drill bits were sold out. So I had to buy a package set.

On my way back I got caught behind a guy going 15 mph. He was going the exact same route as me...a route where the lowest speed limit is 30 mph. Get back to the house, and there is a car with Kansas plates in my parking spot...jehovah's witnesses. I gave them a death stare and they quickly left.

I now have 75+ drill bits.

Won't that Furmoco get knocked off? I've seen horses with smaller hangers.

A lot of folks run tacoma beast style drop in replacements. Seen some pretty good reviews on people liking them.
