You basically raised the front and the back the same amount, so still have the rake. Your only options are to take out your added leaf, or jack the front up even more, or get a different wife.

Myself, I think it looks perfect. I prefer a little rake so when you load up the bed you don’t end up with a derp-lift (higher in the front than the back).

well not getting a different wife LOL , and yes we raised both. We went with the leaf add because blocks are a rigging way of lifting imo. but yea i get where you are coming from. is there nay alternative. love the coil overs in the truck but we could always back them off if there was a way to raise alternatively? the only way I see so far is to put a 4" lift kit in and replacing the spindles.

Then she needs to be patient. It will work itself out. A front bumper will lower it 1/2 up to 1 inch and the rear with a shell and bumper will lower a tad more 3/4 up to 1 1/4 inch.

The truck looks awesome and you can't do a 4 inch spindle lift the 4x4, only 2wd's. Best you can do is a drop bracket lift which come in 4 to 6 inches

no no i know you cant just do a spindle lift as that is 2wd only for the pre runner look :) I was looking at BDS 4" but honestly i read mixed reviews about it and ground clearance disappointments. I am pretty sure I can use the coil overs and shocks we bought currently on a higher lift just need to find the right one.

The problem with the DB lift is it does not add clearance to the truck and you need to cut the cross member out of the truck. (Bad for warranty) problem with going over 3 inches in a 4x4 is the CV angles, need to keep the boot fin from rubbing against each other.

yea makes sense. I have also heard people dropping the diff with a drop spacer and adding a 1/4 to 1/2 inch spacer onto the strut. Ive seen arguments about it disrupting the performance of the coil over but honestly with the 2.5 valving i just don't see that being an issue. I would be more concerned with the drop spacer for the diff causing fluid flow issues.

So, I came here looking for someone who may have done something like what it sounds like you’re thinking about doing.
I’m thinking about getting the 4” BDS lift and instead of using their 4” spacer, I’m considering installing Fox coilovers (2” lift) and a 2” spacer on top.
Now, before I get torn to shreds by the locals, I want you to think about the geometry of it. A 4” spacer on top of a stock shock vs a 2” spacer on top of a Fox coilover, which is good for 2” of lift.
I already know what most of you will say- “You’ll break a shock if you hit a bump!”
But you have to remember- the BDS 4” kit comes with a drop bracket, which will realign the LCA, so the LCA would hit the bump stop before the shock bottomed out and broke.
If anyone has seen anyone do this upgrade to the 4” BDS lift, please let me know!
    Thanks!
