Anyone know what Toyota's warranty on the battery is? My truck just hit 2 yrs and today leaving @dwaltdtx's the battery was dead. After cleaning the terminals and trying it again, It doesnt have the juice to turn the truck over. I'm going to call toyota tomorrow and also probably run it by autozone to have it tested. Guessing I'll need to replace it in the next few days with something, hopefully one under warranty.

It worked out very well for us... MPG galore!

Wait... so was @Suprajim54 and I the only ones that went to a strip club this weekend?

    Damn those are nice!

Glad you finally got that thing on there, looks damn good!

I'm thinking the original factory battery carries a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. Then the replacement has a little different warranty time frame.

Optima time. I think they might be covered under your 3 yr/36 if I’m not mistaken. Remember you also have free roadside assistance as well. I know Toyota does have an 8 year battery, you might be able to pay the difference the one you have and the upgraded one, but I’d prob do an optima. I’m looking at new ones now.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully its 3 yrs and not 36k mi, I'm at 45k so that would mean I'm not covered. If I have to buy on I'll probably wont go Optima. Too many bad reviews over the past few years. Maybe a Northstar. I'll also need to verify what size I can fit without changing anything. If it will fit without purchasing anything else I'll move up to a 27f instead of the 24f that came in the truck.

Northstar recommends 27f for our trucks

Thats what I was thinking. Its been a while since looking into batteries so I couldnt remember all the details but that should mean I can put it in with no other items needed! I cant afford to setup my dream dual battery setup yet and also dont have the gear that I want/need it for yet.

Optima yellowtop will let you run quite a few accessories with no problem.

Or you can get the Pelfrey battery cage and step up to a bigger battery.

Yes I could but as I said Optima's quality seems to not be what it once was and I want to get something that I feel is going to be more reliable.
I have thought about stepping up to a group 31 or 35 battery with a new battery cage. I'll look into it tomorrow but doubt I will be able to wait for delivery and swing the cost of a new battery cage and battery right now. It would be a good compromise to going dual battery though.
