Hi Northeasters,
I am looking to trade my bed cover for a cap. I currently have a Diamondback se on my short bed black Tacoma and its great, I just need a continuous roof line to mount my rod vaults and carry large coolers and gear in the bed. I've searched on this thread and have come up empty. The color is not so important to me and looking for some help finding one. I would be willing to add some cash to the deal but I am mainly looking to trade my diamondback for your cap.

IMO, best option, is to sell the diamondback, and then buy a cap

 

Ok cool, ill post it up in the for sale section. my problem is that I can't have an unlocked bed for too long after I sell it, before I get a cap and they seem pretty hard to find. Has anyone seen any caps for sale in the northeast area? I've searched craigslist in the tristate area and am coming up with nothing. looking for one with windoors that is sub $700.

 

Finding a black color matched should’ve somewhat easy, but with windoors will be tough.

 

there was one with windoors about a month ago, they pop up for sure!

 

need color matched? need high top? would you be ok with a contractor cap? LB or SB? these will help your search. Also, how far are you willing to drive?

Thanks for your responses guys! should I directly contact @micwillia and @Nimble9? I am very new to these forms and I don't know the protocol. I wouldn't mind a super cheap contractor cap in the meantime but I certainly want a fiberglass eventually. paint does not really matter nor does high top/low top. I have a short bed.

Yup, seen that rig a bunch... seems like a friendly guy/girl (see both driving it, not sure the owner!) they give a wave every once in awhile..

couple people have built those types of custom campers on the island, usually the boat-building guys. They do look really sweet. Now that I know its for sale I'll ask to take a better look at the camper, before its gone

 

I see him around a bunch. Asking price is a little high in my opinion... perfectly suited for a trust fun hippy though.
