Wife’s new ride, minimal fuckery I’m doing to the 4Runner. I gave up on looking for a gx460 with low miles.

Hey everyone looking for some recommendations - the GF and I will be traveling from Eureka, MT to Oroville, WA next weekend.

Route so far is Eureka, Libby, Bonners Ferry, Sandpoint, Newport, Usk , Chewelah, Kettle Falls, Republic, Oroville.

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations on places to check out along the way, areas to avoid, or routes where dirt road can be substituted for pavement. We plan to do the trip in a single day, but camping somewhere overnight is an option too to split the drive up / check out cool places.

    Thanks in advance!!

I thought it was pretty intense in my stock truck a couple years ago, but we survived with one winching. Who'd have thought I could drive down a hill too steep to drive up.

You can go up and around on dirt if head up to Metaline falls, Wa. Deep lake/Boundary Rd goes thru. I can't remember all the specific names it changes to all the way but the dirt starts at Frisco Standard Rd just past the entrance to Gardner caves which is a nice little detour.

Frisco to Cedar creek to Deep lake. There are a few side roads that have killer views.

Had a helluva weekend. Now my truck breaks shit just cruising down the highway. Broke a Hardline that runs under the leaf springs to the left rear brake cylinder, 10miles away from camp Friday afternoon. Didn't realize until we stopped at the gas station to fuel up the boats and skis and noticed a puddle of brake fluid under the truck. Some zip ties, duct tape and a pair of needle nose pliars pinched that bitch off and I limped the last 20min stretch to camp on 3 brakes. We ended up using a brake line off a boat trailer to patch me up. Ended up losing my voice.

Those nuts are aluminum. Probably stronger than the stock steel lug nuts, but still aluminum. Makes me wonder what you would get out of the ARP studs, unless you run a matching nut.

Any but Dorman. I hate dorman products. Arp are probably a bit overkill but least you know they are good.
