Those of you with caps, where'd y'all get them? Debating replacing the tonneau on the truck with a cap. I'm not doing much debating, it will happen at some point, just not sure when. Also, would you then recommend stepping up from the medium duty Dakar leaf springs to the HD, with a cap in place. I'm still slacking on installing the suspension, and still haven't bought the new leaf springs yet to match the TRD Pro suspension.

Got mine for around $1300 at suburban toppers on colfax, east of downtown. With patience you can find a basic one used for half that on here or Craigslist. And yes, I would encourage you to upgrade to the heavier duty springs.

If you don't need a hard one.. Softoppers are great, and a lot less weight.

And if you're not picky about color or brand, you can snag ones on Craigslist for cheaper (just remember to get the mounting clamps since they are different from most other stuff).

Agreed on both counts. It would get used most during the winter months, though. I'm not sure how winter durable a Softopper would be. I'm billeting one hockey kid, and my son plays, so I'm guessing I'll be at one rink or another at least 6 days a week shuffling stuff in and out from September until...oh, the end of time.

Gonna fly out of DIA and leave my car parked a few days. Any tips on discounts or good/cheap spots? Last time someone here told me how to get a discount but I forgot...

Everytime I use my topper in the winter, it ends up getting snow and ice in the mechanism leaving me locked out. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm garaged at home, at least. If I wasn't close to paying it off, I'd consider swapping it out for an SUV, then again, keeping stinky ass hockey gear outside of the vehicle is a major bonus of a pickup.

Spray it full of WD-40 or Tri-Flow and that will stop the water intrusion. Gotta do it at least once a month in the winter.
If it does freeze, take a lighter to you key and heat it up, might take a few tries, but it will eventually melt the ice and allow the lock to operate.

They have uncovered, covered and valet parking. I think the discount is a certain amount off whatever you want to do. And without the discount it's slightly cheaper than the regular dia parking, but it's next to one of the parking areas south of the blue horse.

With all the hail lately, you may want to consider covered.

I usually do uncovered, but yeah, might upgrade this time.

Although aren't we past this hail booshit yet? I've got a couple weeks.
