Hello everyone. New to this forum. Just a bit of info I have. My wife traded in her 2017 Tacoma TRD OR with 30,000 m on it completely stock, inferno red for a 2017 Tacoma TRD OR manula. She got 30k trade in.
Shitty part. She wanted a manual trd or in the same color and the salesman told her the inferno red did not come on manual. That was last December. I guess trying to sell inventory.

    About 47 cents.

I'll give you $0.50. Keep the change.

Sometimes I'm not sure if these dealers think we're stupid and don't want to explain anything properly or they are stupid and don't know what's going on.

If he said inferno doesn't come in manual, it means he couldn't get one or find one.

Called a dealer in Manhattan Kansas. Said I could only get my manual in this color. Called a dealer in Kansas City. They're like "yeah got six of those on my lot." Called Manhattan back, insinuated that he was a liar and he was like "oh I knew they had em in Kansas City I just couldn't trade out of my network."

    Then friggin just say that.

Well we were stupid I guess or just ignorant .I was out of town and busy when the wife went to do an oil change and decided to trade it in. The guy told her there were no inferno red manuals and we belived it. So we got a megnetic gray metallic .I actually like the color better than the orange.

OP - get what you can, but I personally would NEVER buy a modded vehicle except maybe as fun beater toy. I would take the mods out and sell them separately, then see what you can get. Just my personal opinion.

I don't think you'll have any problem selling it. Plenty of people looking for 4x4 ready rides without having to dump $2,000 into wheels and suspension themselves. I think you can comfortably get $31,000 for that in a private sale.

Why would someone pay 36000 for a 17' when they can get a new 18' for that or less.

The mods add some value (not a lot, argue with me all you want lol) I definitely paid more for my tech and premium 17...

Use nada.com rather than KBB.com. My experience is KBB is low.

That’s a steal. I paid 39 for my tech & premium lol. Like I said, I just pulled auction data. I have no insight into options or colors with that information.

edit NM i can see colors

In Oregon, with the top and the wheels and tires, you could get up to 32-33 for trade according to KBB.

You'll never get back what you've put in the truck. Keep the truck and get your wife a minivan.

32,000 but sell your shell, rims and tires separate. You'll get 2500.00 for those, that gets you to 34,500. Maybe some dude is looking for that exact truck. Good luck. By the way the stealership gives zero fucks about kbb. You lost 15% to 20% of the trucks value when you pulled out of the stealership. Sorry bro, real world.
