I received my order from them no problem, but then I've sent a few follow-up emails with a concern/question and haven't heard anything back.

Maybe I can ask here? Question for anyone with a Perfect Squeeze -- does yours make a noticeable rattle? It seems like the left-side of the mount is always a little loose, so it is constantly rattling for me when going over bumps. I've sent the question to Hondo but no replay beyond "it shouldn't rattle, will check with wiley". A few follow-up emails haven't gotten a response. Trying to figure out if this is normal, or if I got a defective unit? Thanks for any help.

I placed my order almost two weeks ago for a few items. I called and emailed last week asking for a status update regarding shipping. No reply from them at all. I don't mind being patient and waiting, but zero communication is extremely frustrating. I'll give them this week to get back to me, but I'm leaning towards contacting PayPal and finding another mounting solution.

So only a few minutes after posting this, I got a call on my cell phone from an extremely apologetic Hondo employee. I can't remember her name but she said she is the only one that works the phones and was out of town the last week and a half. She was super nice and very apologetic and said my items should arrive in a few days. Looks like it was just bad timing for a few of us, but everyone should be getting their items soon I would think.

I looked back at my order. I got a email 4 days after I placed order. Can’t remember how long it took to get the item. Don’t recall it taking too long. That’s too bad there are service quality issues. The phone mount is awesome IMO.

I just got a call 5 minutes ago as well from Hondo. They were very nice and very apologetic. They said they were out of town and forgot to update the website but my order is on the way. So for what it’s worth it sounds like they’re catching up and you guys should be hearing soon.

I had an issue. I ordered a phone mount and saw no updates for a week. I then emailed them about it and less than an hour later I had a shipping notification but no response to the email I sent. I am not upset or anything but as far as constructive criticism goes, they could do a bit better with customer service IMO but I guess it varies.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Figured it had to be abnormal since there's nearly universal praise for the thing. I'll follow up again and see about getting a replacement. I appreciate the help!

Oh, bummer. Hmm... Yeah, I can't believe this rattle is normal, but it is absolutely pervasive on mine. Hopefully since it seems they're reaching out again I'll hear something back soon.

Interesting, mine only rattles when the phone is not in there. It drives me nuts on short drives when i don't have any reason to look at my phone, but for longer drives i solve the problem by just using it.

I have also had some communication gaps when talking with them about my GFC. I couldn't be more excited about the product, but getting information about my order has been pretty painful.

If you're going to spend $100 on a phone mount, get it from ProClipUSA. I've had their mounts across four vehicles now, and they have all been absolutely superb. Best mounts on the market, hands down.

This might be a bit subjective?

The Hondo Unholy mount is stellar. I use it in combination with a Ram X Grip. I'd say that it works great for me, but I wouldn't go out on a limb to say it is best mount on the market?

I have X Grips on my motorcycles and bicycles that have seen rain, heat, and winter temps and an Ngroove CD slot mount in the wife's car. The phones have never come loose.

Subjective - sure. But given the numerous vibration reports in this thread alone, not too far off the mark IMO. I've seen Hondo's mount in person, and the one I saw looked like a solid product, I'd still take the ProClipUSA mount 10 times out of 10.

And I even owned two of the unholy mounts. Note the past tense :).

I don't have a vibration, but I don't use the Hondo Perfect or Big Squeeze. I didn't like the look, the narrow pin spacing, and the price of those. I already had plenty of experience with the X Grip.

Just curious, looking at the ProClipUSA site, I can't tell what would work with the Taco. Before the Unholy Mount, I used a suction cup which was way less than ideal.

The way ProClip USA products work is that you need two pieces: one is a mount for your specific vehicle, and another is a mount for your specific case. You can then swap mounts as your vehicles/phones change. Here are the mounts available for the Taco: https://www.proclipusa.com/vehicle/dashboard-mounts/3856-toyota-tacoma/2016 . I use the first one.
