I’m going there anyway so it will be a plus if they install mine. Not holding my breath though. That’s why there is plan B.

Perhaps. I absolutely hate the dealership so probably not though. I'm between buying a cable and downloading TS or just getting OV Tune and waiting for the 1.05 93 tune which will include this.

They didn't do the health check. If they had the software update would have been displayed.

But hey at least they checked your floor mats for you. Safety first.

    Correct.

When you do a health check it reports if a ecm update is available. The box is marked with a big red YES. They have to click on the red YES and that takes them to the TSB.

I lol'd at that too. I have weather tech mats and have to sign a thing every time I go disclaiming that I have "aftermarket" floor mats and Toyota will not certify their safety.

Wow, if they just straight up lied about doing the healthcheck that'd be something to bring up to corporate based off of principle.
Interesting though cause the dealerships response is pertaining to the 0062-18 TSB (stuttering at high altitudes) and not the 0058-18 TSB. Although both TSB end up flashing the same fix, the 58 is regards to surging between 40-50 like you complained about and that TSB lists MT ECUs, the 62 one is the one that does NOT includes the MT ECUs and therefore would be denied and they'd probably not do a healthcheck but say they did.

Correct, but how can I prove that they didn’t go through the procedures. I don’t have a TSB, and I’m just a customer “who knows nothing”.

It’s not worth fighting for or bringing up any false accusations, when in due time (sooner than later) the manual transmission will have a specific TSB attached.

Until then, be patient with your dealer, or buy the necessary tools to perform this yourself.

    For myself, I can wait.

Well I see problem right there... the update only shows up for those with a manual transmission. What the heck was Manuel doing there?

Do we know for a fact that the update is approved for 04b10? Which I believe @AdventureKid has.

    I'll repeat this
Interesting though cause the dealerships response is pertaining to the 0062-18 TSB (stuttering at high altitudes) and not the 0058-18 TSB.
The TSB number you need is TSB-0058-18, it's not specific to MT but if they look (and you point it out to them) 04B10 or 11 or 12 is a cal number for a MT. Granted that may not be enough for them to do it but may be enough to convince them to do the healthcheck and in that case as Ruggybuggy said they will get the alert. I'm figuring that if they looked at the 0062 TSB it lists AT only and therefore they have no reason at all to do healthcheck cause they would be certain nothing for a MT would show up

    @nevadabugle

Approved or not, it installed without issue and runs very well.

Edit: I used the files provided in post 199. Within that archive, the file ending in "-33" was the correct one to update my truck (2016 OR running 04B10).

What software do I need to download to run the cuw files in post 199?
    Run/Flash my ecm?

is there a place on the truck where it says the current cal ID?

Like, if you can show you have 04B12 the TSB shows that that ID is upgraded to 04B13.

If you have anything previous to '18 it'll be 04B10, 11 or 12
You can't have 04B13 unless the TSB was done as no trucks were ever produced with that ECU id

What I was was saying was if you can PROVE to the dealer that you currently have 04B12 (which is listed in the TSB as due for upgrade) then you are eligible for 04B13 regardless of transmission.

I guess I don’t understand what you are saying cause you do have 1 of those 3. All 3 builds are eligible for the TSB, in other words every single MT is eligible for the update. There isn’t an ECU version That isn’t covered.

Correct. My original question was asking if there was a sticker or some marking on the truck that states the current cal ID. How do I check which ID my truck has?
