Yeah I didn't want to do it then stick the stock speakers back in and then maybe have to modify it to put the replacement speakers with their adapters in

Honesty you don't have to do it like that at all! He's making that way to complicated. The only bigger pieces needed are the ones need to cover the holes. The rest can be small pieces going around the wires and rods. No reason to disconnect them at all. Look closely at the pics below. All these are pieced together to do the same thing

    4Runner door

This one was done by SoReal Sounds in Stoneham MA

Even the Sound Deadner Showdown website shows how the pieces only need to cover just over 50% of the area to work. Heres what they do to the roof

Then there is Sound in Motion in Boston. Man these guys do gooooooooooood work! These guys quoted me about $6,500 to do a system about the same way I am doing it

Maybe the "unplug and pop the window controls"? I can tell you that the doors vibrate like a bahstahd! I put in a 2x90W bridged amp (mounted in the dash) and Polk Tweeters and woofers in the doors with my kenwood head unit...The thing cranks, but crashes out around 25 for lack of juice...anywho I have been putting shims and tape and what not on every plastic part trying to stop the door vibrations...uugh

I even made my own tweeter mounts from a plastic cutting board...

    Eep.

I did my 620# springs with a set of those.

I had an electric impact on one side and my air impact on the other. We had it outside in my back yard with nothing on either side of the spring and were careful not to be in the path if it let go.

The ones I had I could never get the clamp to fully engage on the spring. And then stripped out the threads on it so it let go a little. After that I’d never use them again for anything over a snowmobile spring or something. Tried it once on the brothers tundra with the 700 springs. Thing didn’t even move the spring just bent the shaft on the compressor haha

Spent last night at maple haven campsite in north Woodstock NH. Weather was mint and the skies cleared up so I watched the meteor shower until about 2-3am. Moisture and water is getting into the tent still when it's closed up - I'm finding signs of early mold around the base fabric that I need to treat asap but this goddamned weather won't give me 2-3 days of sun.

Hi all, I was considering getting a tonneau cover but was leaning toward the soft tri folds... aka cheaper not alot of money considering I just bought the truck, I wanted to be able to throw shit in there without it getting wet or snowed on? With that being said any advice on what to stay away from or what brands you prefer ? Do the soft ones hold up at all to the winters we have?
    Thanks

Here's the back of my access cab before I put the molle panel on.

I also have the roof done. Last thing left to do is the doors

I don’t know what that thing is made of but there are some good waterproofing treatments that I’ve used on pop up canvas that might help. There are also some really good mildew removers for pop up canvas that would work if mold does start to form.
Any decent tonneau will hold up just fine to winter around here. Personally, I prefer a hard folding or one of the roll ups with aluminum reinforcing so it can be locked.
