Yeah. I saw that there were two parts, but I missed the configuration for the Taco mount. That looks like a solid attachment.

If you want to keep the phone mount from rattling, press the button and push the two sides together, then turn the wheel up a notch or two. It will grip itself and the rattle will stop.

Hi, my apologies for the delayed shipments and lack of communication. Between a huge increase in sales, a cnc machine going down a few weeks ago, and Adrienne's (our shipping/phone person) vacation, we got a bit backlogged. We're almost caught bak up now so if you're waiting on an order it will be coming soon.

As for rattles, it shouldn't rattle when it's tightened onto something. If you have a phone in it and it rattles, a couple more clicks of the wheel should eliminate that. And with no phone, it needs to be tightened to itself. The Perfect Squeeze mount was designed for off road motorcycle use which is why the clearances on the slide are designed to be loose so that the mount will still function when it gets filled with mud and dust. If we make them too tight they will seize up when used on motorcycles. Less of a problem in a truck, of course, but once tight there shouldn't be any rattling. And your phone or tablet absolutely won't budge no matter how rough the road.

Mine came in yesterday and I really like both of the mounts, other than rattling noises going over the smallest bumps while nothing is mounted. I will try tightening both mounts up against themselves as much as possible to see if that will eliminate the rattling. I didn't have any rattles while my phone was mounted in there, only when the mount was empty. I haven't tested my tablet yet, but I'll try that out later today. Thanks for the tips!

Slide it closed with the quick adjust button then just a little tension with the click knob will stop the rattling. You can also set the mount up so you can pop a phone in and out without any adjustments... making it less likely you'd be driving without a phone in there.

My hondo phone mount developed the rattle everyone is talking about. I've tried tightening the wheel, but the rattle is still there (although after finally breaking down and searching, I see that people are using the button to reseat the spread for the phone... I haven't tried that yet).

Has anyone with the rattle actually solved it?

Going to try this when I get back to my truck tonight. With the radio up and highway speeds it’s no big deal....around town with music low....:annoyed:

Use the quick adjust button to press the posts against your device. Then tighten with the click knob about 10-20 clicks (this varies depending on your case, temperature, etc.). Also helps to make sure the phone is pressed against the the slide. To not rattle it needs to be tight enough to create some tension in the slide. These things were designed to grip tight but still have enough clearance to function when they get covered in mud, which is why they need to be tight to take up that clearance. So tight enough to hold during an event like this:

Update: I finally fixed the rattle... I slide a small piece of electrical tape between the two plates at the opposite end of the dial (one piece of tape at the top, one at the bottom). That took up the space between the plates and stopped the rattle.
