hey yall im rocking these UCA's with a ome 887/5100 and when going over speed bumps or dips im getting a loud popping/ clunk noise, is anybody having this problem? I don't see any indications of paint chipping due to impact of the suspension components. I thought it might be the ball joints or maybe the spring compressing and hitting the coils. but not too sure, any feedback will be greatly appreciated

Look into the 887/5100 combo. Popping noises have come up in those threads. Outside of that Id see if you can find a nice grass hill to put a wheel on. Compress it and cut the wheel both ways to see if anything is getting into something maybe ?

Is the pop or clunk on the down travel (drop out) or during the compression (up travel)? The 5100's are known to pop on down travel with ome 885's and 887's. The shock is fully extend and hitting the internal stopper.
It's not when you hit the speed bump it's when the wheel comes down on the other side that the pop is heard .

Hi guys! I just got my JBA uca’s installed and personally I think it was a piece of cake...I was able to do it by myself which was nice...I have read that people were having a hard time getting the two inside washers in. What I did different might have helped and it might have not...but I used to be an oilfield mechanic and I had to put bearings together for pumps and I had to freeze them in a freezer to get them together....so I put that knowledge to work on this application...I froze the inner two washers in my freezer and then pulled them out quickly and threw them on, what the freezing does is shrinks the metal, it’s not much and indetectable by the eye but it helps...that’s why I’m not sure if it helped or not. Here are the pics of the installed uca’s

When did you buy your UCAs? In the past few months he started coating them with something new. Before that, they would rust like fuck. Contact him and he’ll help you out. I believe if you buy the new ball joints and mail your rusty ones back in, you’ll get a full refund.

I bought them late last year. I'll give him a call. That's the kind of service that set's a company apart. Pretty amazing.

You should definitely be alright with those. They’re about the same height as 265/75r16 (+1”) that everyone runs with no issues, yet they’re almost 1.5” narrower. It’s a pretty small tire.

235s may be too narrow of a tire for those wheels. I’d check the maximum recommended wheel width for whatever tire you’re thinking of.
