    My first battery died at 10k, and the second is getting a bit cranky now at 40k, so I copycatted your plan and ordered a pelfrey cage

    No time for me to get the pelfrey battery cage or a better battery. I needed a new battery tonight since my truck is my DD. Ended up just grabbing a duralast 27f from Autzone tonight to keep my truck starting. Couldnt find anything better tonight and dont want to spend another work day jumping my truck so I can drive it. I'll get a real upgrade later when the funds and time to order parts are readily available.

    No idea about battery. Official wait time was 4-6 weeks I think, but they say they usually underpromise and overdeliver on that

    it holds a group 31 size battery. 4-6 weeks is why I couldnt wait and went with what I could get tonight. Jumping it to get it started everytime I needed to drive someplace would get very annoying.

    I agree about the lead time. I tried calling @Pelfreybilt today(3 times when I was free from work) but they never answered and didnt return my message from the first call. Wouldnt have changed my battery situation but maybe I'll hear from them sometime and get the rest of the info I asked about.
