That’s exactly what it is. It’s just an extra unused Rheostat connector. I have never seen or heard of an application for it and it doesn’t show up on wiring diagrams. My 1998 PreRunner doesn’t have it, but 2001-2004 truck’s have it commonplace. My 5-lug may have it, it’s wired for a rear diff locker button and a clutch start cancel button.

 

Not one that will work for you. But they have some really nice options for 6lugs

interesting.. i find it listed in the componenets section but see it no where in the diagrams. another interesting thing is the unused connection right infront of the firewall by the charcoal canister and the fact that my fuse box is listed as having fogs.... hmmmm

Pretty sure its the angle. Because I always shake my truck before taking the wheels of to ensure it won't fall

Those connectors are for ADD actuators as I’ve been told. My PreRunner and 5-Lug have them.

That fuse box is used on the 4Runner too, must be what it’s for.

 

Because 17” are cool
