dont believe its for ADD, mine has that, unused. the 02 taco does not have the connector at all by the firewall. i'll probably hunt down where its terminated, trying to find a spot to get a lightbar wired in and add a factory 4runner fog light switch in to control it.. (in the stalk.. Why must i be obsessed with shit looking oem)

 

have to wait until i go LT to minimize cutting

Huh, I thought it being used for ADD makes sense. My guess is that it’s to control VSV’s that aren’t present on 2001-2004 trucks since the earlier trucks used a vacuum actuator fork to control the 4WD engagement.

who knows. could be left overs from accessories that were suppose to come out or something... and i was just looking at my fuse box, there is indeed wiring for the fog. going to find out where thats hiding tomorrow i guess

 

im doing the napa calipers and pads with rotors and call it good.

 

I gotta get evo rotors and cts calipers lol

Yeah I may switch eventually. I'm happy with it now though, looks better with 33's imo and the brakes are okay enough. Cheap tires are nice too

 

Really!? Factory fogs would be excellent.

I wouldn’t at all be surprised if the wiring is there. For some odd reason, my 5-lug has wiring present for a rear locker. More than what my PreRunner has.
