If you’re really looking to try the vape life, find a friend to borrow a good setup from. Most entry level setups are garbage and you will just want to smoke more.

Great setup! About $120. After batteries and liquid about $160. How much do you smoke?

Not to step on too many toes, but what is your purpose here? Switching from one lung contaminate generator to another lung contaminate generator doesn't seem like the right thing.

Starting vaping out of the blue is obviously really unhealthy but they have been proven to be a healthier alternative to cigs. However, pretty much anything is healthier than cigs so it's to be taken with a grain of salt

I don't vape myself, but you can control the amount of nicotine you have. So, if you really use it to quit smoking and feel you can't do it cold turkey (which is obviously the best way) you can lower the nic until you can get off it entirely. This takes willpower, though, but to each their own

When you start vaping you'll need some just like it. Only way to get the full effect :transformer:

Agree that it can be a tool if used properly to wick yourself down, but I have yet to see any of this proof, besides just subjective statements (again, not trying to incite anyone, just what I haven't seen), and many questions more about the juice itself since it's not regulated in any way for content, location of manufacture, or ingredients.

I would even think, in my non-smoking ignorance, that just cutting back on cigs slowly but surely would be "easier" for an existing smoker than switching and trying to control a new habit. But, end of the day, each has to figure out what might work best for them.

I do remember when I was a kid, before vaping, patches, etc., my Dad trying to quit many times before he was finally able to do it. What's funny, to me anyway, is he switched his habit from cigs to menthol cough drops. Whenever he had the cig urge, he took a cough drop instead. Again, each has to have a way.

Smoked for 7 years, quit in '84, (while in the Army, so it can be done), one of the best things I've ever done for myself. And that was back when I could buy a carton at the PX for less than a pack goes for today.

Yeah, I feel you. I don't know enough about vape to really weigh in. I stick to my greens, but I'm even stopping that this summer/semester, been about 2 months now. It is kinda scary that it isn't regulated. You can make the vape juice with some chemical you can find at a CVS, can't remember what it's called but it seems sketch. But, cigs are terrible for you, and if vapes can be a way to get people to stop I'm all for it. End of the day, as long as you're not hurting others with whatever you're doing it's just kinda :notsure:

Vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol are the two main ingredients, medical grade nicotine and flavor to taste. Most of it is food grade. The biggest advantage is the dispersal method, basically boiled vs burnt. 95% fewer carsenogens than smoking. Willing to bet the next study will probably say it’s twice as deadly. I’ll stick with it because I don’t smell like an ashtray anymore, just smell like a molester van- desperation and candy.
