I’m curious where in the tank though, like toward the front, rear or which side?

Oh it's like dead center in the tank, the way the tank is shaped it is in the tallest portion though.

That makes sense. I put my stock skid through the ringer for well over a year before upgrading and it's still useable...people give them shit but they do their job. Mine acts like a headstone now in my driveway parts graveyard lol.

I'd be more worried about the pump being out of place now, there's a surge box around it too that you might have broken or the arm could be stuck on

Man, Ive been driving my dads pickup around town these past few days. It got me thinking about how I want a project truck sometime in the future. Instead of long traveling a tacoma, why not just use this super clean 92 pickup? Ditch the 22RE and put a supercharged 5vz-fe under the hood and an R150 transmission along with a suspension kit from these guys. https://jdfabrication.com/collections/toyota/products/toyota-hilux-86-to-95-4x4-front-end-kit
Possibly make a tube frame bed for it too. It probably wouldnt happen for another few years, but I can dream, right?

That’s cool. Couldn’t they reverse the train?

I rebuilt mine with a brand new clutch, pawl, o-rings, etc.

The o-rings is what make it hard to turn. The rubber fails as it gets older, thus making it hard to turn. Toyota doesn’t sell the o-ring by itself so I had to buy all new manual hub dials.

I have a valid excuse to wanting Manual Hubs - it’s 100x easier to hook-up if you are doing a PreRunner conversion than ADD. Don’t have to mess with electrical or any vacuum lines.

That being said there have been many times where I wanted to activate 4LO, but I was too lazy to get out and turn the dial.

    You’re gonna put a 2RZ in there?

The engine mounts are different between I4 and v6, and the transmission crossmember is different between Manual and Auto. Unless you like welding you need to match what the donor frame had.
