Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

How is this for frustrating, the day after I tune to my truck I got in an accident somebody rear-ended me
now my trucks been in the shop
I only got to drive the truck to work and then to the autobody shop on the new tune
All I can do now is just keep reading the comments on this thread to try to quench my thirst

Clearly there is a need for highway driving help, whether towing or not. Crossing my fingers that 1.05 does the trick.

 

I tow my 600lb trailer + dirt bike and all the gear at 75 and get 22-24mpg

 

Have patients, I had the same thing happen to me when he was moving across country. It was 100% worth the wait for it. I promise you that you will love your truck more than you ever thought you would.

I decided to tow test stock tune with cruise control on for some data and this is ridiculous, under 10mpg for over 100 miles.

 

In this world of instant gratification we live, we sometimes have to support one another!
Someone reached out to me when I was being impatient and was having "reading comprehension" issues.

Hell sounds like the stock tune in an armored up Tacoma with just a little head wind and no trailer on.

 

I get it, but all the same we were ridiculing the people who take that need for instant gratification too far. People have actually slandered and bad-mouthed Mat/OV for being a one man show and not being able to attend to their every need the moment they bring it up .

 

That's the business climate out here in America, it's great thst there ate so many of us that are having a great experience with this product and can temper the new guys on the site! I was just trying to give back that which was freely given to me.

 

Which Stock tune, 300 or 400 did that? I pulled an 18ft two axle with better than 2200 lbs on it and got 16.5 on stock 300 tune.

 

I hope you can work some magic. I pick up my Casita in October.

 

I averaged 7-11 with my auto. Around 15-18 with the manual

 

Any tips on anything before I go to connect to the truck?

just kidding, it's easy and self explanatory once you double click the CUW file.

 

Thanks for the help, it connects and works. Now I just have to learn how to record/save/log data

 

I'm not using techstream to update my ecu by any means, so I'm not going to be using a CUW file, correct? I'm just using it to log data
