    Cataract surgery will also improve night vision and colors will be more vivid especially blues and greens. Had my left eye done two years ago. Need to schedule my right eye when I get enough sick time saved up.

    In other news...

    On the 4th of July, around 10;30 pm the wife and I are watching the idiot box, and hear a crash on the back deck... Discover this:

    A cute little bear... Little being the operative word... I scared it off easily.

    Then this past Saturday afternoon I out working in my new garage (which is about 100 ft. from the house) and catch a glimpse of movement up by the house...

    It's a BIG beautiful bear! I start stomping on the wood ramp into the garage, hollering and waving my arms... She (assumption on my part that this is the mother bear), simply turns toward me, and takes a few steps back nearer the house... And we are in a damn staring match... She's supposed to be scared of me, dammit!

    So I carefully (without breaking eye contact) start working my way up to the house... Why, you ask... Well, after the small bear on the 4th, I bought a pepper ball gun... My thought process being that these are magnificent, beautiful animals that are only being themselves, so I don't wanna kill them, but don't want them in my yard either, and I figure that if I light them up with pepper juice, they should be discouraged from wanting to hang around.... As I'm heading to the house, I start filming with my camera just in case that when my wife comes home and finds me in bits in the yard, she can watch the video and know what happened... Yeah... I know that's pretty damn gloomy...

    Anyway... Long story short (too late, Don!) I got the gun, loaded it, and she was gone...

    Here's a frame grab from the video... I'm guessing 42-46" at the shoulder on all 4s... Mad respect from me...
