Got rid of the front license plate bracket

I don't like it angling down. Seems you could do something to brace the bottom and make it straight.

I bought a mount from a member here. A little spendy but a good solid bracket that mounts without any damage to the truck.

 

OP, I live in Ohio also and haven’t ran a front plate on any vehicle in 10 years. Haven’t been pulled over once because of it.

 

Dealer had mine mounted already. Don't even need one in my state. Now I have empty bracket or holes. What should I put there?

 

It has been my experience that local police departments in Texas do not care so much about front Licence plates, but an expired State inspection sticker.........depending what cop stops you, could be a hanging offence.
If you drive outside the city, take a highway somewhere, you can Run afoul of the DPS (Department of Public safety) they enjoy climbing out of there Air conditioned, black and white vehicles, and writing $200.00 tickets.

Run a plate with your favorite college or professional team.

I am producing a simple mount that takes the place of the big ugly bracket from Toyota. No need to drill holes in the plate. Made of aluminum and stainless steel hardware. No rust! Link in my signature.

 

You could go and buy some license plate screw caps. Like 3 bucks at your local auto store. You know those ones that have the clear piece you feed the screw threw and screw into your bumper. Then snap the cap on. Hides the hole and screw. I’ve only seen chrome or black but looks like you can paint them any color to match!

Piece of 1” aluminum angle. Drill holes that line up with the one for the air dam. I lucked out and stopped the dealer as he had the cordless drill in his hand. You have to run a front plate in Ohio.
