I’ve booked a cabin in Dillon, MT 8/18-8/21 for my birthday. Any (really) good food within an hour or two drive?

Ironically I almost used my XP-3 yesterday. As I was getting ready to leave work I saw this older guy with a really old pickup (like 70's model). He had an old school jump start pack. By the time I got off work and drove over to him he'd finally got his truck started.

Poor guy had a 400W Honda Generator to power and charge his jump start pack, which in turn jump started his truck. Apparently this is a regular thing for him.

Gave him details on how to buy one of these new jump packs to replace his generator and jump pack. :(

    Happy Birthday (early)!!! :)

I've not eaten in Dillon. There's a Blacktail Station Steak House there that sounds good though. Stay away from Fiesta Mexicana. It's not real Mexican (MT doesn't have real Mexican).

You guys coming anywhere near Bozeman on this trip? There's a fantastic place for Prime Rib in Manhattan, MT called Sir Scott's Oasis. I was there a week ago. So good.

If you go to Helena I like eating at the Brew House (burgers, beer) or the brand new HWY 55 (old school 60's diner style). Yummy custard shakes. Neither is 'fancy' or high end.

Haven't done much eating in Butte yet. :(

Oasis x2 and the steaks are great too. There is a very good old fashion burger place in Livingston--Mark's In and Out and an excellent one in downtown Billings--Burger Dive.

I’m not sure how much time we have, Bozeman hasn’t been mentioned yet. Mostly exploring to the south (both east and west) while staying in Dillion. I don’t do well with eating out for every meal so I’m limited to like once a day. I’ll take these suggestions and see what happens. Definitely looking forward to getting out of AZ, exploring, and relaxing.

Stopping in Moab for a night on the way back. And back to Moab in October.

Our resident hoodrats @mizzac and @MTgirl can probably help out with that. I can too, but Lisa knows the names of everything. I could just show you.

We used to all the time, and I left MT and just moved back after 5 years. We might be able to wrangle something up though

I might be off on an adventure somewhere this weekend but we'll definitely have to meet up sometime. Woud be fun to all go camp somewhere as well.
