Something like that yes, for a daily driver. If Mod Day is on the 26th, I can wait to install everything until then.

If it was me I would do it as long as I didn’t have any off-road trips, droop would be pretty hard on the boots

Because you’re dclb you’re already the heaviest configuration so that’s working in your favor
I was running 650s on my 01 reg cab and that was way way too much, just made for a rougher ride for a wile until I went to 550s which is a lot of spring without full armor (didn’t blow a cv tho)

Sorry for the late response. Wish I could say for sure with a 3rd gen. 700lb coils will be pretty stiff for just sliders (assuming I read everything correctly). Most the 2nd gen guys run 700s with full armor. Are you running them on adjustable coils like icons or kings? If yes, I'd say you'll be fine if you dont preload them a bunch. If you're running them on normal struts or the 3rd gen equivalent of 5100s, I'd say no way

I dont think you'll cause cv damage from being too lifted, but you could rub through the boot. And time really is irrelevant, it's more how much you drive. Do you commute 100 miles to work a day? Or do you average 50 miles/week since you work from home?

I had my 5100s preloaded with 620 lb springs (which are pretty heavy duty for a 1st gen without the preload) and my cv boots started to rub on themselves. Dropped the preload and was fine.

All in all I think you'll be ok, but dont bother with an alignment (unless you're off by crazy amounts) until you get your weight on. Ride height affects alignement.

Yes, looking at running them on coilovers. From my understanding, just basically little to no preload until the bumper goes on, taking measurements here and there to get desired height.

    TAKE BEFORE MEASUREMENTS

I didn't and am forever regretting it lol.
But ya, you should be fine. After lifting, roll it for a week and look at your inner boots, you'll see if you're starting to rub, it's pretty obvious.

Good looking out @Uphillshunter. The weekdays are perfer or worst case I’ll just have to take a Saturday off. I might even just tackle it myself since it’s a hobby vehicle and not a daily.

I been spending a lot of time in the garage this summer and I tell you it’s hot, 100+ degrees hot. I have to wear a bandanna just so sweat doesn’t drip down my face and drink water left and right. So having some experienced hands that have done lifts with the same products I do welcome and appreciate.

I'm down for a mod day. I have a U-bolt flip kit, ECGS bushing, and retrofit headlights to install.

Also, I was getting some steering shimmy when braking on my way to the Lake Hawley trail run that some of the guys said might be warped rotors. I haven't noticed it since though.

what year truck are you trying to do a diff drop on? Ive got one on my 99 very easy job just unbolt front 2 diff mounts add spacer and change to longer bolts by adding the spacer it rotates the diff and helps cv slope.

Sounds right. Because the kit came with two long bolts and two spacers.

Having all these new parts laying around sure makes my hand itch.

This week is going to be tough for me to get out early. I've already had to duck out for a couple of appointments. How bout meeting up at my place at 1:00 next Wednesday? I think we can get it knocked out for you.

***Edit*** So I went and threw out a date... and then came home to find out that date is the date I just got an f'in Jury Summons for. :frusty:
