Yup, that's what happens when you let advertisers in. Pop ups and random links galore, killed the site right quick. Still some really good info archived there

yea, i hope TW never becomes that. i wouldn't mind ADs for lowrange, cbi and all of those places we like to throw money at. as long as there tacoma related. i do enjoy that products discussed option lol

I was never a forum person, I spent most of my time on Reddit before I came on here.

I have been a member of many forums, BenzWorld, MacRumors, LinusTechTips, etc. But I never remained an active member because I hated the user interface. It's so cluttered and unorganized. And then I found out about this forum and its excellent GUI and welcoming user experience.

The forum itself is designed by a software company and is used on many platforms, I just can't remember what its called.

Love it or hate it I think what's going to keep this site alive is 2nd and to a point, 3rd gen stuff.

Yup thats the kind of ads they do allow here, where its not that intrusive. When they are random and in your face it turns people off. YT used to be like that but the owner decided to 'retire' so to speak, but I don't blame him. He built something awesome and helpful and sold it to the highest bidder, can't fault a person for doing that. TW may very well go that route in the future or it might just get sold to another private party that keeps it going as is. This place does generate revenue I'm sure. But it takes a lot of work to keep it going.

Yup, hence why they are so sensitive about being nice to new members. New members generate more revenue by clicking on products for the newer trucks. They don't care about us guys with high post counts that just come here to BS one another lol

yea, im sure the 3rd gen aint that bad once you remove the body. but why did the design the body like that its so ugly imo. i would take the drivetrain and engine out of it and put it in my 1st gen if it would fit though lol.
    yea very true

Exactly. I'm the kind of person who can benefit from 'daily-driving' a Windows PC or an Android phone, but I just don't like them. I know Apple is an evil company with evil ways (shameless plug for my TEDx talk), but I'll be damned if they didn't create an easy-to-use graphical user interface. It just works.

For convenience sake, I like my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. The reason I bring this up is because the only thing to a forum isn't content, it's ease of use and accessibility. I liked how easy this forum was to use and to access, so I stayed. Interface and ease-of-use is something a lot of consumer products overlook.

For example: T4R.org - great content, I just hate to navigate that website

I look at the 3rd Gen Forum and it's full of guys who have more money than sense. Seriously. There are so many of them.

Don't let their internet facade fool you....most of them probably have insane credit card debt and have to resort to bank robbing to pay it off (true story)

Well that's just because he doesn't know how to properly rob a bank lol.

They probably gave him padded stacks of $1 bills and he fled without looking
