With a 10 speed tranny. You’d think Toyota would of atleast went with their 8 speed in these. Probably would have half the complaints about the hunting gears

Funny you say that, i was reading a review of the Colorado a few days ago, which has an 8 speed, and one of the complaints was it was constantly shifting and hunting for gears.

#2 is 70% of this forum. Then 25% is “will it rub/fit” or “what lift” and then 5% is useful stuff to converse about. Or maybe 80,29,1. Who knows.

Can't exactly say "ya but that's a GM" when Toyota didn't do any better with their transmission. I don't mind how this transmission works most of the time but I also don't think if Toyota put in an 8 speed it would be any different.

One drivetrain choice, and it's a turbo 4? No M/T?

    No thanks.

Well from a technical standpoint, it would be different. Not only the transmission, but the programming for the ECU too. I think eventually Tacoma buyer will find out. Hard to see them keeping the 6 speed with everyone else bumping up to 8 and 10 in the same segment. However it is Toyota we are talking about so it’s probably more likely they don’t change anything. With that being said their 4th gen will probably have an 8 speed. By then everyone else will probably be using a 12 speed

Pricing equivalent to Tacoma without any of the aftermarket support yet. We'll see what the discounts pile up as later.

    Never buying one.

Well first of all the truck is ugly AF. Secondly they have no double cab 6 foot bed option. Automatic no.

I am NOT spending $38K on a pretend truck (I won't buy under a Lariat model). That's why I opted out of the Turd Gen.

I don’t how Chevy and Ford basically used their overseas styling. I don’t wanna see Nivaras, Holdens and the like cruisin around our streets. Hopefully Nissan will create a North American version should they decide to refresh the Frontier.
