    OME and worth every penny.
Every kayak we have (open water and sit-in models) have the drain plug on top. In chop they will take on more water from leaky compartment seals than will wash into a 1/2" hole, not that i rec'd going into waves with the plug out or that she didn't intentionally watch him die for insurance. It does sound fishy but going into chop is dangerous unless you know how to drain a kayak out in open water and re-enter it.

    Agree, and will add:

Mind your own business unless someone is in danger of being injured or worse. Stop trying to be a hero when there's no tangible injustice.

If you confront someone, leave the self righteous bullshit behind and have the self control to be polite. You might even get through to someone this way, zero chance if you're in a rage.

Expect a confrontation if you're yelling and screaming at someone's girlfriend/wife/family member/significant other.

Have enough brains/self control to leave your ego behind if you carry.

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/0...found-with-gun-drugs-in-vehicle-cops-say.html

A Maryland man waiting in line to take a driving test ended his day behind bars -- and without his license -- after cops said they found a loaded gun and drugs inside his vehicle.

Maryland State Police said Reginald D. Wooding Jr., 22, of Baltimore, was waiting in line in his mother’s car to take his driving test on Monday when the examiner smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The employee alerted a state trooper working an overtime assignment at the MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration location in Glen Burnie. The trooper allegedly confirmed the smell and investigated.

One pound of marijuana, a scale, more than $15,000 in suspected drug-related cash and a loaded handgun were found inside Wooding’s vehicle, authorities said.

Before he could even take his driving test, Wooding was arrested. He’s previously been charged with various drug-related and gun-related offenses, including allegedly obscuring the ID number on a gun and having drugs with intent to distribute.

Wooding was released on a $7,500 unsecured bond.

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/08/15/sidewalk-urinals-have-paris-locals-peeved.html

Open-air urinals recently installed on the streets of Paris in an effort to combat the French capital’s public urination plague have residents complaining about the “immodest” sight, reports this week said.

The urinals' conspicuous placement -- near popular tourist spots, like the Seine River on the Ile Saint-Louis near the Notre Dame Cathedral -- has prompted locals to write to town hall in protest, Reuters reported.

“There’s no need to put something so immodest and ugly in such an historic spot,” Paola Pellizzari, told the outlet. She said it’s next to the townhouse where 19th-century French poet Baudelaire lived, and was concerned that it was too close to a primary school.

The bright red boxes -- called “uritrottoirs,” a blend of the French words for urinal and pavement — are filled with straw that turns to compost for eco-friendly uses, and are topped with a flower display, according to reports.

Ariel Weil, a local mayor, defended the urinals in a tweet, calling them an “invention of genius.”

“If we don’t do anything, then men are just going to pee in the streets,” Weil told Reuters. “If it is really bothering people, we will find another location.”

While the urinals have been criticized for their too-public locations and unsightliness, others view them as sexist since they are only usable by men, Reuters reported.

Public urination has become such a problem in the city that the French coined a phrase for it: “pipi sauvage,” or “wild peeing” in English, according to the Local France.

Paris isn't the first global capital to use open-air urinals. The devices have reportedly been used in cities from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Sydney and Amsterdam.

U.S. cities are also working to keep their neighborhoods clean, with San Francisco recently announcing the formation of a six-person crew, dubbed the "Poop Patrol," tasked with removing human waste from the streets, FOX2 San Francisco reported.

Well, perhaps this cat is french..... I recently took this photo on the FL turnpike. Stopped traffic for a crash middle of the day. Didn't even bother to go to the bushes, just whipped it out at the guardrail in front of dozens of stunned onlookers.
