Yes in US it's an option but here in Canada they always like to make it so we have no choice you take it as is or leave.... For me I have been waiting for this 2019 already for 3 months and said I would only take it if it's an option. I keep reading it's an option yet dealer keeps telling me it's not as such I have two choices walk away or have fender replaced and have it removed.... as the 2nd option will cost a lot on an already over priced truck looks like no new tuck for me. hope we have real Toyota.ca confirmation soon

Here is the Canadian link no talk about it being an option
    https://media.toyota.ca/releases/ga...trd-pros-typify-ultimate-off-road-performance

Toyota.ca just confirmed to me it's Standard no way to order 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro without it so guess I'm outta luck

I’m still down to see Toyota offer a shade of green or classic FJ yellow.

I rarely see a 3rd Gen in red around here. Or a quicksand.

Just clicked on your link and that article was in Feb. Tons can change between then and now. That’s huge deal breaker for me. I just called Toyota Canada and they couldn’t give me any details on it until it’s officilly released on website.

This is ridiculous if you ask me.

Makes sense that the desert air intake would be standard for Canada. That's definitely what they need.

I can't believe this is it! There has to be more info out there. There has to be a change in options and pkgs, as there has been on the 16 to 17's and the 17 to 18 models.

Don't we have any Toyota salesman on this forum? Every other vehicle forum I've been a member of has had salesmen as members who fed info to members. If these are the only changes, this is sad.

I'm not looking for a complete total overhaul in four years, but damn there are plenty of incremental updates, upgrades that Toyota could be doing to their product when compared to other manufacturers. Once Jeep's JT is released Toyota is going to have more competition in Overlanding, etc. I would assume the same amenities that Jeep is offering in the JL will be offered in the JT as well.

If it surprises you, you obviously haven't been paying attention to how Toyota has rolled out updates to the Tacoma since 1995.5. They've been consistent and predictable.

The overland community is like .005% of the Tacomas on the road. That Chrysler won't do shit to the .005%

I also very rarely see red 3rd gen trucks. Damn woman at the dealership said "its a very popular colour and resale will be great". Wish I went with that Blue that is discontinued now :/

Wish they discontinued cement as well. I personally dont like voodoo blue or smurf blue on the fj I think it looks cheap and tacky. I like the baby blue on jeep wranglers though

Personally I'm glad they're slow about it... man I'd hate to buy a new truck and then the next year the truck gets an update I'd want... keep em slow and steady is what I say

    ...stuff
Theyre not snorkels. They are desert air intakes.

In case you screw up your truck going through water, Toyota isn’t responsible.

But I heard they were dealer or port options. Not standard.
