Finally some decent weather today. Got an hour or two of weedeating to do this morning, but it will be cool and the sun might actually show sometime this afternoon.

Lost power 6 times last night with storms, probably between 7-9pm. Generator kicked on everytime so not a problem, but the storms were much more intense than we expected. They just regraded the road yesterday too and it was sooo nice, I am worried that 2 inches of downpour have destroyed all that nice soft soil. :bananadead: I've had to align my truck 3 times already and my trailer tires are getting a little loose from the fucking road we live on, lets say I was pretty excited to have a soft ride to the blacktop, so hopefully it is okay still.:fingerscrossed:

Been thinking about the truck and where I want to go with it over the next year or so - if I want to keep it or sell it for something different... It's been about 25k miles on the suspension for my truck so far and I'm not entirely happy with it - maybe it's my OCD but between the rusting/corroding and the crappy ball joints that I'm constantly having to pump grease into I think it's time to rehaul it. I keep getting torn boots from wear/tear (not overfilling or improper install). The kings look like shit from the corrosion after one winter and all the prep work I spent on the Dakar's has rusted off.

I plan on keeping the front Kings however I want to upgrade the rear leaf to something that will give about an inch or so more in the back (Currently on the CS047R Dakars) that way I can jack the front up a bit more with the coilover adjustment. I would entertain going to a different rear shock length or a custom perch setup to get more droop (not that I have even off roaded this setup crazy enough yet but I have had my moments).

As for the components I'll be rebuilding another set of LCA's over the next week and switching from the Proforged Ball joint to the Moog Internal boot ball joint and seeing how well those do in the shitty weather up here. The proforged ball joints have not been very reliable and yes they have a wonderful lifetime warranty but it's a bitch to press them in and their boots don't last for shit.

For the UCA's I have the camburgs right now and I'm considering switching to the Delta UCA's with the delta joint which also has an internal boot design. Granted this is all up in the air still and just a concept that I'm entertaining...

And then there's the concept of just going full long travel up front and doing something crazy in back... but I really don't want to as much as I like the idea it's still a daily driving truck.

    Sorry about the winded post..

You should drop it to the pavement and camber the F out of the tires.

Just kidding. Don't do that. Idiots do that.

We can have a party. I'm thinking I'll be going longer in the rear next year. Cut and weld baby.

I was going to ask you about how your leafs are holding up and what to do to my new set of Dakars currently sitting in the basement. I have the 47R currently on the truck but got a new set of the new heavy duty dakars through warranty.

My Icon bodies have held up over the past 3 winters along with @Boston10Taco Tony runs Icon coilovers and rear shocks. We both have custom length rear shocks, I think it equates to like 11.25" of travel in the shock, been awhile since I ordered mine lol. As far as UCAs go, stay far away from uniballs if you plan to drive the truck all winter, and if you go Icon uppers, make sure you regularly grease the UCA bushings

Instead of limb raisers I'll just have 10000 piano wires going from the bumper to the roof for protection.

Jason, get some Total Chaos UCA's and put the appropriate delta joint in it. That would be my dream setup

It's really good. IMO they had a rough start. But I think it was just growing pains years ago. Since then they've really found where they want their beverages to be at. This is my favorite offering. In order my local favorites are Great North- Moose juice IPA, henniker IPa, and Great North -GN ipa

Found out this morning that last night the Mrs dropped my "new" phone on the kitchen floor, and put a couple scuff marks on the side/body of the phone. DIDN'T TELL ME because she said she looked at the phone and nothing (screen) was cracked.

I noticed the scuffs when I had the phone down on my desk here at work, so I texted her and asked if she dropped it or hitting it since she took it out of the truck when we got home last night. That's when I found out.

    WTF! :annoyed:

Sounds like you should get some sliders for your truck as a form of retribution
