I am in Canada with a '17 OR DCSB AT. I called my dealer yesterday and was told that the update only applies for USA trucks, and that there was nothing they could find for Canadian trucks. This doesn't make sense to me, but whatever.

I happen to be planning a road trip to Colorado in early September. Maybe I will have to make a service appointment down there - lol.

Good info! Did you get the 58-18 or 62-18 reflash?

    To all,
Is the 62-18 tsb the recommended reflash or the 58-18? Or, two separate tsbs for different issues? When I call dealer should I demand both or the just one over the other? I get a hesitation/stumble with wide open throttle and also crazy surge at the 40-50mph.
Also, does high altitude factor into both of these TSB also?

@Riderfan - I have mine booked for the 20th at local dealer! Went in armed with the info posted elsewhere by another Cdn owner. Service Advisor was reluctant but i kept pushing (nicely) until she finally searched out the number and said "well how bout that"

    Cdn Details:
TSB for 2016-2017 trucks specifically for Canadian market, called T-TCI-5133
The update you just posted states its the new update from the previous code 89661-04k51 That is now 89661-04k54

Will post an update next week with results from visit (bcz its not done yet) and what impact/improvements the update had.

As in, do I need to mention altitude when complaining?

My MPG has been consistent with pre update. 17-19 mpg, but I am loaded with armor, sliders, winch, etc....

The 58 and 62 are the same reflash/programming. Toyota just assigned two different numbers to identify specific symptoms.
Tell them when you are up playing in the mountains you have “had to romp on it to get into traffic and the truck stalled. Scared the hell out of you, you could have gotten hit. Please do the TSB so my family and I don’t get killed”. Kidding but you get my point.

If you don’t trust them. Also I believe a tell is on the service order, 5D625BD1-A94E-4C7A-AE12-EA0F873B7B5B.jpg
Lower left “preformed TSB-0062, EG1811 is correct number.

In my case they didn’t have to prove anything. After driving the truck out of the dealership I noticed an improvement.

Toyota dealerships know what and where you have had work done at other Toyota dealerships. Toyota uses a central data base for all maintenance done on their vehicles at dealerships

Just did what I did. Print out the TSB. And show it to the dealership.

Did mine yesterday at Longo, 58-18 rev1 for my 18 dclb. Driving back from the lot to WLA in traffic big difference in throttle response. You can feather the throttle now and the trans reacts proper with the kick down no more mashing. For some reason the tech could not access the turn signal for 6 clicks oh well will try Marina Toy and see if they can do it. Longo did the flash no questions asked.

Just wait, most stuff like this does eventually get released in Canada, but it can sometimes take longer. (Often because the bulletins need to be translated into French).

The turn signal is defaulted at three blinks/clicks some said Techstream can adjust it. Longo tech wrote in his notes that the function was not available.
