What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I've seen 150 quoted in a few places. ~225-250 all in with a winch, etc.

But, in full-time off roading, this place catches tons of dust and dirt.

Yup, it's weird I've actually never seen an official number from ARB.

And I know my Smittybilt Gen2 XRC 9.5 synthetic was about 80 lbs. So probably sitting about 240 lbs all in including everything I've hung off it so far

 

I have a US Offroad bumper (70lbs) insert and M8000S winch (70) plus a pair of BD squadrons (4ish). That sumbitch is heavy. Can't imagine another 100 pounds on top of that.

 

Its true, but like I said, I love the look of it. Also, I feel slightly better ripping across some dirt roads through moose country at 50mph with this on the front

That said, I specifically measured before and after - only lowered the font end by just about half an inch

 

That's way too heavy for a XRC 9.5 esp w/ synthetic. I just installed one yesterday and it came around to 45-50 lbs, so you might be lighter than you think!

 

What suspension you running up front?

 

New 6112's up front.

 

Yeah. That's a lot of steel to take up a critter before it gets to you.

 

You must be way stronger than me if you think that only weighs 45 lbs.. I think the exact # is 77 lbs from the spec sheet, but I didnt weigh it either

Just the stock TX Baja package for now.

 

And it looks like a nightmare process to get that part out. ugh. What is that part called if you know so I can look for one somewhere.

I just assume if I hit a moose, I and the vehicle I am driving will be killed, no question.

I just missed the hind legs of an elk down near Kanab last winter. Looked down in the cab to look at the map, and just saw hooves at eye level disappear out of the headlight beam probably 10 feet off the nose (at 60 MPH )

Only knew it was an elk cuz my tailgunner got on the comms and told me that he shit his pants for me. I missed the whole thing.

 

I have the USB outlets, I need that center console part.

Just remember to factor in the suspension upgrade as well.

 

My brother was traveling in Utah or someplace out west pulling a travel trailer. He missed the elk barely with the truck, but swung the trailer into it, killing it. Messed the trailer up pretty badly. The pics were funny IMHO. They wouldn't let him keep the antlers!

 

Yeah, they get REAL defensive over those. Friend got cited for finding an antler in the forest and taking it home with him well after the season was over. DNR pulled him over, and he was like "but it just fell off..." Gotta apply for a antler permit, I forget the name something like antler harvest or deadfall harvest...something like that.
