@EDDO you're a big RAM mounts guy right?

My iPad ripped off my window this past weekend. Need to find a more stable mount and i believe i can hard mount an arm to my center dash speaker location and have the arm come out to hold the ipad there for easy nav.

 

maybe he needed money for a snorkel since that mahalo dude took everybody elses

but that's non of my business

 

What mount were you using that ripped off?

 

the Mob Mount suction, has worked well in the past but seems to not hold well anymore.

 

Can you use a techdeck? That thing is pretty solid to attach ram mounts to it.

Don't know that the techdeck will fit your 4runner.

Your could also try this for ram mounts.

I got it from my nephew as an adult 2 years ago. Had sores all in my mouth and throat. It was horrible. Couldn’t eat/drink and could barely talk for like a week. Some serious stuff lol

 

Use their Tablet Double Ball Mount Wizard for part numbers and purchase from GPS City. The RAM stuff just works.

Have you emailed mob armor? had an issue with my cell phone mount going limp 1.5 years after I got it through a group buy. they replaced it for free even though it was out of warranty. Maybe they can send you some spare parts / suction cups to get it working again?

 

i've hit them up on IG and we've discussed different ideas. Their suction design with releasable cups is the problem. The angle of my windshield and weight of the iPad pulls it slowly out of the cups when the glass gets warm. If they were solid mounted to the stems it would be perfect.

 

And the Tech Deck is only for Gen2 Tacomas.

 

i like this option with the Ram ball and mount for the iPad. My phone is currently there on a mob magnet but ive been wanting to move my phone to the left side by my handle anyway.
