I literally just got out of that meeting. The guy hosting it wishes he was half as smart as Mac.

Just got the green light for not working next June 28th to July 29th. Sounds like Zeb has put in the request as well...

Holy shit its time to start planning to go to Alaska. Got one year to plan

Explore, but i'm going to look into fishing. I have a nice setup for fresh water but I don't know if it'd stand a chance up in Alaska... I plan on bringing a kayak, though, if space allows for it, because I want to fish in rivers/lakes on the way up there and its always more fun with a kayak

Before the trip, I plan on buying an RTT, tube doors, snorkel, and would also like to buy a crawl box. Just depends on how many hours I get at work... Obviously I gotta save money for the trip as well. Luckily i'll have at least two more, potential three (fk yeah, two people in the back seat of an extended cab first gen Taco) people to split gas with.

So I take it you are driving. You should ship a hand cannon up. Don't want to carry it through Canada

One guy in my truck has an old school 6 shooter police revolver... I forget the caliber but I think it's a .44 that we're going to ship up. Already checked Canadian laws and yeah you can't pass it through. I'll hopefully have a little 9 mm at the time as well i'd ship but that probably ain't doing shit against the wildlife up there...

Not sure how I want to do it yet. I guess ship it from somewhere in Oregon to Anchorage? I just don't want the shipping to take longer than we're in British Columbia.

Duuuude yes! I will totally take you up on that. If my setup can handle fishing up there I'm 100% down.

I have a decent Abu Garcia bait caster and a cherrywood HD pole. Think it'd be enough? I can't remember the ratio in the baitcaster but it's super adjustable.
