    Service slip literally just says:

"Vehicle hesitates when accelerating from 30 to 40mph/check and advise. Road tested and confirmed complaint. Performed software update."

... Though the only thing they did actually do was update it, and I know they did because I watched in the shop. lol I literally stood arms length from the computer and watched the update be ran, run, confirm, etc.

I was asking bc it might help others if we could present it to our service managers

I agree. Showing that multiple other dealers performed the update on the MT would be a great way to force the dealer if they are being jerks about it.

Breifly test drove it back to the office, seems a lot better, wouldnt say the surge is 100% gone but definitely an improvement. Service slip attached. Hope this helps someone. For those in SLC area, try the Mark Miller Toyota downtown, such a better experience

This is exactly my experience with the dealerships around me. I complained about the surging when I took it in for my first free service. They didn't even drive it around; just straight in the door. "Can't reproduce." Jackwagons. Debating to wait and see if they clarify this TSB for us manuals or buy/borrow a cable.

Yeah I may wait a few more weeks I guess but if I can’t euther get the TSB as proof or a dealer to help me I am definitely gonna get in done on my own. It’s literally 15 mins of work. Most of these dealerships are lazy as hell yet they want us to keep buying trucks.

They must pay gigantic bonus money for service departments to deny warranty work for so many dealers to do that shit.

What gets me is these service advisors get paid commission. So they try and fuck us over in every aspect of our visits.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I guess it really comes down to how open minded the service department is.

Yes, absolutely, which is unfortunate your service experience boils down to how much of a "hardass" your service advisor and mechanic want to be.

Its usually the Service manager or advisor that are the hard assets. The techs in the back are just told what to do and don't have a say in it.

good thing they checked those floor mats. You could have been seconds away from floor mat death and never realized.

Has anyone else succsesfully had a dealer update theirs who can post a picture?

@Ruggybuggy, can you link these images in the first post? If we could get 3 or 4 examples of completed work orders into the first post I think that would help a lot of people. Those plus the MT ECU codes in the TSB should convince any dealer.

I’ve run through an entire tank now on 04b13 and has been fantastic. 1 to 2 feels much better now. I have noticed a loss of power though coming from OVT 1.04 but it’s better than the stock tune for sure.

Agreed, 1 to 2 feels a lot better. I still get a surge trying to gun it from a stop, but overall it performs much better

At the end of the day, the dealer is still going to do what it wants to do.

From a stop I’d say it’s still dead until you get to around 2k rpm then it decides to wake up.

I think that's just the 3.5 speaking there.
