I actually got it pretty late in our season (December) it definitely came as a surprise, especially here in Nevada where we just don’t get them often in general. haha
If I had the funds I would of mounted them all together, but I’ll settle with the picture to prove it haha

Was it more mature then the picture shows? We don't get any Blues back through New Mexico until after are season here has been closed for awhile. I came across four sitting on a pond during Turkey season two years ago. Two Hens and Two Drakes. The Drakes were very mature. It was tough walking away from them.

I honestly couldn’t tell, that was my first blue wing. Would of been cool if it was banded to know a little of its history. Very rare in our parts, our local face book page was losing there shit wanting to know where exactly I got it.

That looks fantastic! Did you paint it or is that a wrap?
Edit: What model of boat is that?

It’s an old custom made boat made in 1996. This is the 3rd motor on it.

Dang y’all have me itching now.

I had good luck with a new technique this year, and had a ball doing it.

My daddy and I went in together on a little aluminum V with an 8 horse tiller. The plan was to use it to float the river.

    Gave her a paint job

And then brushed the whole thing so that it looks like a pile of brush floating down the river. I would sit up front and glass ahead with binoculars. We would spot the birds on the water ahead and drift right down into them. It was crazy how close we would get before they flushed. Kill em, retrieve, and start glassing again.

This was extremely effective during the hard freeze we had. All the small and still water was locked up hard, so their only option was the river. It was a nice change of pace from sitting and calling.

Season's coming in a couple weeks! Can anyone recommend a chair? My buddies and I sit in brush when we hunt geese and ducks. Doesn't need to swivel or be anything too wild, just want comfortable for a few hours and fairly stable

I use a folding dove chair for early season goose, teal, woody's. The ones with the zippered pouch underneath. There's plenty of other more expensive options though if you do a quick search.

I've seen lots of options that are ridiculously priced, just hoping someone could recommend a more budget friendly option
