Mounting them up on Friday!

 

No just lows.
But with the HIDs in the lows, I hardly ever use the highs.




I was thinking about trying some H7 LEDs with no fan to see if they would fit and work. Like these:

Yeah, the ones I had in the stock housing wouldn’t work. Not only because of the cooling fan/heat sinks not fitting but they are not the same H type either.

 

It will mellow out a bit in a few weeks. Mine did - and it just wasn't me getting accustom to the sound.
Passengers have commented that it sounds better. Some even asked if I changed out the muffler.

 

Ah, no, I'm running TRD Pro units. Didn't consider the enclosures may be different.

 

I got 5 too and installed today. Fifth one is just in case something happens to one. Good choice

 

You clearly missed what I was asking brother...I was referring to the afterMarket headlights...oemassive and so on...not factory...I have led in all my factory lights...wondering about aftermarket.

 

That’s what I used for my stock lows...I like them...let me know if they work...I may consider it if they do

 

I did the back wall and the 4 doors with the RAAMaudio 2-stage system. Didn't properly mark the holes on the back panel and it took me 2 extra hours for a total of 6 hours. Big difference after just the back wall. Two weeks later I did the 4 doors, total about 5 hours (my wife helped). Did the door skins and the inside panels. Again big difference, much quieter, and the stereo sounds much,much better. Time consuming but easy to do. The guy at RAAMaudio was very helpful, and there are videos on YouTube that are very helpful also. Doing the back wall was uncomfortable for an old guy like me (66), the doors are a lot easier to work with. You may lose some retainer clips in the process, so get them ahead of time. EBay has them cheap, like 50 for $5. The Toyota dealer wanted $2.79/ea and didn't have them in stock.
Highly recommend this mod. It changes the driving and listening experience.

 

That's what threads are for. Learning new stuff. Everyone comments how great my truck sounds. Like I said the insert should come with the exhaust.

 

For what it’s worth, my SR5 came with the black door handles. Maybe an alternative on EBay.

No. The Pro wheels already sit out 1/2” further on each side compared to the other models because of their back spacing.

Mounted up a set of 285/75/16 kbro2s that I found on Craigslist. They look so much better than the stock Goodyears. No clearance problems with the stock pro setup other than small rubbing in the front that I will address later with more driving.
