Or add the king county sheriff's band. They know when and where you transmitted on their band. Ask my boss how he knows.

Oh cool! Did you have anyone help you out with this mod? Or will you able to get it done on your own?

*Edit* Did you notice any MPG change?

Taking the Tech, and probably General, test in Renton this Saturday. Tech is pretty easy, been using various apps and websites to run practice exams. I need to cram for General though, most of my practice exams on that one are flaming piles of poo.....

I need to do this and get my antenna tuned.

I'm a little sketched out with the ditch mount bracket method up front. I have a heavy duty spring installed, but any movement with the antenna and the entire bracket flexes.

Also, I have an extra extension plate if anyone needs one...

it will flex a little bit and shouldn't be a problem. use a multi meter on continuity mode and make sure there is a beep between chassis and the bare metal part of the bracket. Then do same thing between the chassis and antenna mount and there should be no beep. SWR meter should be good after that. I mean, after adjusting the end of your firestik that is.

Damn, I much prefer the spacing between the hood on his brackets. The caliraised one's I have sit super low... Had to sheer off part of the bolt to stop it from making contact w/ the hood

fire ring was what I meant to mention but couldn't remember the name.

In other news I heard "FCC is about to ban the sale of radios that include FRS frequencies (462.5625 – 462.7250 MHz) and any other licensed band in a singe device."

So I'm stocking up on some Baofeng's. 5 packs on Amazon right now.
